Bursary & Scholarship

BURSARY

Since the 2011 soccer season, the Kamloops Women’s Soccer League (KWSL) has had the honour of offering a $1,000 Bursary to one eligible active member of the KWSL every year. The Bursary is designed to support those members that are proceeding with a post secondary education and that illustrate a need for financial support.

SCHOLARSHIP

Beginning in 2021, the KWSL is proud to announce that they will offer a Scholarship in the amount of $500.  To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit a 500 word essay to the KWSL Executive. In addition, the scholarship will be awarded to a female graduating soccer player that meets the following requirements:

  1.  Continuing to play soccer after graduation
  2.  Attending a post-secondary institution (trades included)
  3.  Able to demonstrate an involvement in soccer, beyond being a player
  4.  Able to demonstrate a minimum 2.5 GPA

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

In order to be eligible, applications for both the Bursary and the Scholarship must be submitted to the KWSL Executive no later than 8pm on July 31 of the current year.
