Attention 2017-18 Participants/2017 KWSL Teams:
The KYSA is once again pleased to offer adult women/older teenagers the opportunity to sign up for the winter indoor league at the Soccer Dome.
The ‘per team’ registration fee remains the same as last year: $2,000 per team with a maximum roster of 18 players.
Games will be scheduled on Sundays starting at 2:00pm in the afternoon and run through the evening. Last year’s format of having teams/divisions play at different times each week seemed to work well and will be continued.
Once again, we would like to offer a three-tiered division format this winter on the following basis:
Premier A: (Open)
- Have a thorough knowledge of the game
- Play at a high to elite skill level
- Desire to play at a competitive level of play
Competitive B: (only FIVE combined 2017 KWSL Outdoor Div 1, KYSA Select, CIS or PCSL carded players permitted on roster)
- Have a fair knowledge of the game
- Play at a good to moderately advanced skill level
- Want to play at a more experience and semi competitive pace
Recreational C: (only FIVE 2017 KWSL Outdoor Div 2 players permitted on Roster, No 2017 KWSL Outdoor Div 1, KYSA Select, CIS or PCSL carded players are permitted on a roster)
- Have no or very little experience playing soccer
- Wish to play at a relaxed to moderate pace
Please note: If we do not receive a sufficient number of teams to operate a viable division it may be necessary to reduce the league to two divisions, as happened last winter.
Players must be 16 years of age as of December 31st, 2017 to participate. Youth-age players must have a participant waiver signed by their parent/guardian.
We are changing a registration policy this year to allow players to play on more than one team. However, a player may not play for another team in the same division. Also, a player who chooses to withdraw from a team may be replaced up to the time the division play-offs begin. When playoffs begin, rosters are frozen!
If a player was not registered with the KWSL or KYSA in the 2017 season, players will need to individually pay an extra $25 insurance fee for BC Soccer coverage prior to the first game. Please contact kysa@telus.net for more details.
The registration deadline is Friday, October 6th! Games will be scheduled from October 22nd onward.
