SMOKE
KWSL will be using the website www.purpleair.com to determine the air quality levels. If the index reads a level 7 or greater by 4:30 pm on game day then the team reps will be notified via e-mail that the game will be cancelled. If team reps are not notified then it is assumed that the game will still be played. Please keep in mind that if at game time the air quality levels worsen, the referee has the ability to cancel the game if they deem it to be unsafe to play.
WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather, and unless notified previously by the Scheduler, teams must attend the grounds and await the decision of the referee as to the fitness of the playing pitch.
KWSL must follow BC Soccer guidelines when determining the temperature at the time the game it to be played. BC Soccer indicates that the Environment Canada website must be referened and it is the projected HUMIDEX temp that must be used. If the HUMIDEX temp is forecasted to be 38 degrees or above at game time, all games will be canceled. KWSL will check the forecasted temperature at 5:00 pm on game day and make then the decision at that time.
